Festival artist at the Ilios Festival 30. January -2. February in Harstad, North Norway. Screened the film Breath (Galleri Nord Norge) and Revolution (Galleri Zappa) and Through was screened as prefilm for in Harstad Cinema.

ICE - AN AESTHETIC AND POETIC EXPRORATION

ICE - an aesthetic and poetic exploration with 6th grade pupils from Ashley school, Walton on

Themes in Surrey. The sessions included a three day aesthetic exploration of ice through the five

senses; sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. We worked with ice from different perspectives; sculpting

with ice, made ice instruments and jewlery, made time lapse ice-melt films, wrote iceflake poetry,

explored the soundscapes created by ice and explored the transformation of ice in various other ways.

A fantastic group of engaged children in a wonderful school where sustainability is at the core.

Eva Bakkeslett is an artist, cultivator and gentle activist. She reveals and reclaims forgotten or rejected practices, concepts and cultures to redirect our attention to the patterns that connect us to the earth as a living organism. Through a combination of film and social sculpture events she unites nature and culture, people and crafts to create dynamic and aesthetic experiences. Her gentle actions challenge our thinking to reveal new narratives that inspire and engage us to make sense of and embody, sustainable and thriving ways. Eva shows, lectures and performs her work worldwide. With an MA in Arts & Ecology from Dartington College of Arts she divides her time between her roots in North Norway and Southern England.
